I bought this as a first road bike as a test to see how well I enjoyed the sport. I was also training for a charity bike ride (100mil over 2 days) I had signed up for. I got the bike in a very timely manor, and was very happy. I did have the Pro Build included, and was happy I did. I put the rest together and then brought the bike in to a local bike shop and paid for a fitting and a tune up (Under $100). I also bought new pedals and clips and shoes and bike computer from the shop.
Once outfitted, I was consistantly riding between 10-20 miles about 4 times a week and could not have been happier. I completed my charity bike ride about 2 months after and is worked like a charm! I am currently training for a 100 mile ride and I have had NO PROBLEMS with the bike thus far. (Purchased April 2011, posted this August 2011). GREAT BIKE, GREAT BUY, 99% SATISFIED WITH PURCAHSE!
I bought one of these Nouvo bikes on close-out, so it's a 2010 model. It was easy to assemble and adjust and it has nice quality components and a GREAT frame. The rims were reasonably straight right out of the box, and a couple of minor tweeks made them perfect. The shifter/brakes are new to me, but they seem to work well. My only concern so far is - if you reach for the brake too fast, the lever could slip out of your fingers with the shifting action, so be careful. The seat is comfortable for me and doesn't cause me any pain. I can certainly see why they changed the triple crank for a double crank in 2011. These road bikes don't need a triple. I've only been on a few short (under 10 miles) rides, but I think I could get to like this whole bike riding thing. This bike is alot faster than my mountain bike......WOO HOO!
